May Highlights with AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers

May has been another incredible month in an already well underway flying season for the team at AeroSuperBatics, filled with displays, airshows, new flying locations and unforgettable moments both in the air and on the ground.

Goodwood Racecourse Season Opener

The month included a fantastic appearance at the Goodwood Racecourse Season Opener, marking the first performance of the season for the team. Kirsten, Emma and Libby all took to the skies across the event.

It was an incredible feeling to be back in front of packed crowds at one of the most iconic venues on the calendar. The energy from the spectators and the excitement in the air made it a brilliant return to display flying for the year.

Torbay English Riviera Airshow – 10 Year Celebration

Kirsten and Emma then headed to the Torbay English Riviera Airshow, celebrating its 10th anniversary in front of an estimated 200,000 spectators across the weekend.

Flying over the stunning English Riviera coastline was an unforgettable experience. With packed beaches, vibrant crowds and the Atlantic backdrop, it was a true highlight of the month and a privilege to be part of such a milestone event.

New Flying Location: Compton Abbas Airfield

May also saw the launch of wingwalking experiences from a new location at Compton Abbas Airfield. From here, we’ve been strapping members of the public to the wing of our aircraft, offering them an exhilarating experience and a truly unique perspective on flight.

Returning to Sywell Aerodrome

It was also fantastic to return to Sywell Aerodrome, a firm favourite on our flying calendar. Another successful weekend there reinforced why it remains such a special location for both the team and our spectators, with great organisation and a strong aviation atmosphere throughout.

Homebase Thrills in Cirencester

Back at our homebase in Cirencester, wingwalking experiences have continued throughout May, including some very special personal moments.

One highlight was a wedding proposal. Lorraine travelled all the way from France with Thierry to make the moment truly unforgettable.

Congratulations to the happy couple from all of us at AeroSuperBatics.

Reaching for the Stars – Artemis II Patch Launch

May also marked the launch of our new commemorative patch celebrating Artemis II: “Reach for the stars with AeroSuperBatics.”

Inspired by exploration and pushing boundaries, the design reflects the spirit of wingwalking and our shared fascination with the skies and beyond.

We were also delighted to welcome a former NASA space scientist to fly with us during the month, an incredible connection to our space-inspired theme and a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Looking Ahead

With the season already in full swing, we’re looking forward to more displays, experiences and unforgettable moments as the summer unfolds.
